Everton Toffee recipe

This is an easy, chewy toffee recipe that makes toffee that you can suck on for hours. Try some crushed nuts over the top or some hundreds and thousands.

200g caster sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter

1. Put all of the ingredients into a saucepan and boil without stirring for half an hour. This will give you a hard toffee drop a little bit of the cooked mixture into cold water and it will crackle. If you want a softer toffee, cook it for less time. When you drop the mixture into cold water, it should form a soft ball.

2. Once the toffee has reached the desired consistency, drop it into paper cases and sprinkle with whatever you fancy!
